I have been a terrible blogger the last few months... we have been so busy playing and hunting and trying to get things ready for the baby that i havent had much of a chance... anyways here is a little update.

*Elk Farm*

In september we took Broadie up to the elk farm in Mancos. He loved it. We got lucky and they had just fed them so they were all real close for us to see.

Broadie is 2! Where did the last two years go? He has turned into quite the character lately.

Thats about all that we have been up too. We've had alot of fun! Now we are trying to make it thru thanksgiving and christmas and then its on to having a new baby again. We are getting really anxious and can't wait to meet our little girl!

August has been a busy month for us. On the 23th of July Zac and I recieved our endowments at the Monticello Temple. It was such an awesome experience.
Then it was the hot air balloon festival. They blow them up and take off from the park which is right next door to our house. As soon as i heard them going i went in and woke Broadie. I think he liked them, he kept yellin "in" to everyone who floated by. Right as i was clicking the button to take the pict it blew its fire and scared him. I thought his face was pretty priceless.At the beginning of August we took a family trip to Utah... first up on our family fun was changing a flat tire in Green River. It had a huge hole in it, so crazy!

Our first scheduled stop was in Manti. On our anniversary (Aug 11th) we were sealed together as a family. It was so special to have Broadie brought in in his little white clothes.

After the temple my parents hosted a barbque for all of our friends and family to share our special day with us. It was lots of yummy food and good company.

Next stop: Zoo

The baby elephant was soo cute! She turned a year old the weekend we were there. I couldnt believe how tiny she still was.

Later that afternoon we went to Temple Square.

The next day we tackled the Discovery Gateway. Broadie loved this place! Zac and i thought it was too busy and there were too many kids ha ha (we must be getting old)

Later that afternoon we went to a splash pad at Liberty Park. Broad wasnt too sure at first but he warmed up pretty quick.

Next up was the Aquarium. None of us had ever been to an aquarium before so we all thought it was pretty neat. Zac and Broadie got to pet a sting ray... i was too grossed out.

Then we headed back down to Grandma and Papa's for the night. Broadie loved helping with Jaida. It was really fun to watch.

That night was Derby night at the fair. Broad was crazy about it. He was in awe the whole time with all the cars crashing and then when they would bring in the back hoes to pull them out he would scream "back hoe!"

Last but not least, Broadie got a new scooter. He LOVES it. We have to go to the church parking lot just about everyday to ride it (our kitchen just isnt big enough)

Summer

There isnt much to read on this post, just lots and lots of pictures...

*Broad has taken up long boarding. He found his uncle Drew's the other day and loved playing on it.

*We have been feeding all the geese and ducks at the pond at the park everytime we have bread heals.

*Pool. Broad is a little fearless fishy.

*We have been taking the dogs to the lake and Broad loves it.

*Broad loves to throw rocks in and make big splashes.

*We went camping in the tent.

*Broadie has started to make an attemp at potty training.

*Fireworks. Zac happened to be working on the 4th and so we got to sit like 30 yrds away from where they lit the off. It was super fun.

For FHE this week we went to the Echol's to color Easter eggs and to have a little Easter egg hunt. It was super fun and Broad's first time doing both. He wasn't sure what we were doing with the eggs but he loved running around finding all the "balls". ha ha

Once a year my mom and dad meet up in Moab with some of my dad's cousins to ride 4 wheelers. We decided to meet up with them and hangout for the weekend. Two hours was just too close to pass up. While the boys went riding my mom, me and broad, and the Echols (family friends from cortez) went to the hole in the rock petting zoo and racing go carts. the kids spent alot of time in the pool but we didn't get any pictures of that...

*So our blog has kinda turned into a once a month update. i guess this is DECEMBER! where did the year go? we are so excited to have Christmas with Broadie this year! We have been keeping busy this month. We got our first snow storm a couple weeks ago and we got about 6 inches. We took Broadie sledding and out to play in the back yard. He loved the snow and being outside but he wasn't a huge fan of how immobile his snow suit made him. He would fall down and just scream because he couldn't get himself back up. He reminded us of Randy off of the "Christmas Story". These are a few shots we got throughout the day...

*Next thing was our visit from Santa. The fire dept invited Santa out and so we went to visit... I might add that Mr. Clause was really Big Papa so we thought that Broadie would do okay but needless to say he was NOT a fan! He was more into driving the fire trucks of course.

*Last but not least... UTAH for CHRISTMAS! YAY! Zac has worked the day after christmas for like the last three years so we haven't been able to come!!! This year we packed up and headed off. We left the 23rd and will be back the 26th. Short trip in crumby weather but so well worth it!

*Hmm, a few things have happened lately so i will just do an update on everyone!

ZAC: has been staying busy working, working, working. He is still doing Farmington AND Cortez. He has been so busy lately and absolutely loving it! He is also now the second counselor in the 3rd Ward Elder's Quarm. He seems too have a miniature shadow everywhere he goes and is being a very good teacher as to just what toys are the coolest.

CHELSEA: is always chasing one of her boys around. I am still staying at home with Broadie and i couldn"t be any happier about it! It's the best job in the world!I am also the new 2nd counselor in the young women's. I would be in charge of the beehive but since we only have one young women in our ward we all share. i am really having fun with it!

BROADIE: has turned into quite the jabber box. His vocabulary has really expanded. His newest words are Papa, Pop, Jaynee, socks and he says Tank, Taitor and Pixie! He loves anything with a motor and is constantly Vroom vrooming everything with wheels! He is so much fun!

November family fun

This year for Thanksgiving we went to St. George to my grandma Lynn's house. We had delicious food and alot of fun visiting. I of course left my camera in the car until the last day so i didn't get many picts... here are my two favs!

After St. George we came up to my parents house and on Saturday we went to Tanya's baby shower. It was so much fun. Mikkell and Maclee were there and Mac and Broad became such good little friends. There were playing football and chasing each other. SoOoO cute!

I thought that since i am going home tomorrow and back to life without internet that i should update on Broadie. He is turning into quiet the personality. I can't believe how much he has learned in the last few months. He...

*says quack quack and points out any duck he sees.

*dances or should i call it head banging...lol..thanks to his dad.

*has found a new obsession with the toilet...loves to put the lid down, flush, and stick anything and everything in.

*learned how to somersault and cracks himself up doing it

*hates closed doors when he is on the outside and loves to close doors when he is on the inside

*has figured out that his little pointer finger is just the same size as his nostril and it fits right up it. he doesn't really pick he just sits with it up there.

*loves to throw, kick, hit...anything to do with a ball.

*is quiet the cleaner. he loves to throw everything in the trash included clothes, toys and whatever he gets his hands on. he also tends to get my broom and or mop out at least twice a day. loves the vaccuum except when it's actually on then its way to scary.

*has developed so much love for his sissy (pixie). he looks for her every morning when he wakes up and loves to play with her. he gives her hugs and kisses all the time.

*has started giving kisses although they are still open mouthed and tongue out. ha ha

*loves shoes. if you don't put a pair on first thing then when he finds a pair he brings them and wants them on. it doesn't matter whose they are.

*says "hi" to everyone and anyone

*LOVES his books!

Zac and I are having so much fun watching him grow and teaching him new things. we are so thankful for what a huge blessing he is and how much laughter and love he has added to our lives. We love you Broadie boy!

Well it seems that our blog is all about what our family has been doing together but since Zac is still in Colorado this week and we are in Utah i guess we will blog about what Zac has been up too. On Tuesday morning i sent Zac a text to say good morning and he replied "guess what" so of course i asked "what". He said "i haven't been to bed yet". So what could Zac be doing ALL night you ask? Well... EXACTLY WHAT HE DREAMS ABOUT! He was so excited. This was his first fire in Cortez... yes he has been on almost a full year and this is his FIRST fire. lol. What a cutie. I love him so much and i am glad he was able to stay busy while we have been gone!

On a different note... FAMILY PICTS ARE DONE! Check back tomorrow for the big pict overload post. Zac is bringing the cd with him!

Today my grandma, mom and i took Broadie out to the red barn to ride to the pumpkin patch. it was nap time and so he was a little serious the whole time...

Last i have to add this pict, the other day Broad unrolled the whole roll of tin foil, pulled everything out of the kitchen drawers, emptied the wipes, and threw about a million toys in the trash... well i was telling my mom how much he was being a terror and all she said was " oh i can't wait till he is at my house making messes". Well it didn't take long before he was in the lazy susan pulling food out....

more messes to come i am sure...until then.

Zac has been workin so much lately so on his last day off we decided to do something fun so we took broadie to the pumpkin patch in cortez. he loved it. he had to much fun looking for his pumpkin and i am pretty sure he picked out about ten but this is what we ended up with...

I just wanted to put a quick update on Broadie! He is growing so fast i can't believe his birthday is in a month and a half! He has five teeth and the sixth seventh and eighth are going to be in soon. They are in sight they just haven't broke the skin yet. He has turned into quite the mobile little guy. He crawls a million miles an hour and is starting to take some steps here and there by himself! He has gotten to be so much fun lately. He learned what a truck says and he loves to play trucks. Everytime he sees or hears one he says vroom vroom and points! His dad even got a RC car and Broad loves it almost as much as Zac. He is also getting to be quite the smarty... he will go thru books and point out apples, ducks and fire trucks (dad's trucks). He says dad mom dog duck bear nana and his newest pop. He loves to point out all the lights and that is the first thing he does every morning. He points and says that to everything, waves, and clap. He loves to be outside with his dogs and he has learned exactly how to push Pixie's buttons. Well he goes to the doc on friday so i will update some stats then.

Pioneer Day

Saturday was [[pioneer day]] at the Mona park. It's gotten to be a pretty big deal, there is a [[parade]] in the morning and then all day events at the park. We entered Broadie in the baby contest this year and he won a metal and the [coolest name award]:D It was so much fun to come and see a ton of old friends. Sarah was there with her cute little family and Broadie finally got to meet his future wife! Ha ha. Ashley was there too, i hadn't seen her in about three years so it was good to see her. I got to see a bunch more old friends and it was great to visit!

Today was broads first but certainly not his last visit to the pool. He met up with his new friend John and they both loved it. They were so facinated with the foutain but got kind of mad when they couldn't grab it. I think they both had a blast and by the end were pretty tuckered out.

I got him a bunch of little things for v-day including a knife which he has ALREADY lost!He got me a headboard for our bed! Finally. I wanted him to make one but i guess he thought buyin it was easier. Either way, I have a headboard!

Broadie has turned into a little ball of fun and energy! He loves to play and is down to one long nap with a few other cat naps here and there... He also got some new clothes, a new high chair, and a new blanky! And he loves to bath!

He is ready for warmer weather, we got him some outfits thinking they would fit in the spring... guess what... they fit now! They are a stinking size 12 months and he is only 4 months. Well you do the math... all i can say is i got a big boy!New blanky! Zac made me quilting frames for christmas and i finally got to use them! Can you find the baby!

Broadie has turned into a cereal eating machine! We got him a new high chair and he loves to sit in and jabber away like he is one of the adults.

He LOVES the bath. He gets one in the morning to get clean and another one at night just to play! He can't get enough of the water. We got the towel and thought it was so silly but it has turned out to be the handiest thing ever and Broad like to grab and eat the puppy ears!

The doorway jumper: his newest adventure. He looks like a crazy man, and he is. He gets jumping and flinging around so much. He cracks himself up!(and everyone watching)

The other day i layed Broadie down for his nap and went in the other room. When i came back i noticed an extra bump in the blanket...Broadie was cause one of the bumps but what could the other one be from....

We have a toad! Broad went for his 4 month check up and he was 17 pounds 1 ounce! He was 25 and a half inches long... so he is kinda a stout little guy!

He got a new chair for Christmas from his Grandma and Grandpa and he LOVES it! (Obviously)

We also got him a new giraffe blanky thing today. It's super soft and he loves to cuddle it.

...And eat it!

Zac and I are still alive too... i haven't made a post about us for a while. I just got back from Utah. Broadie and i stayed with my parents for two weeks. We had a really good time. Zac has just been working... In farmington and Cortez. Still loving fire!

Broadie is four months old today. Time really goes fast. He is such a good baby! He has started rolling and standing up. He loves to stand. He sleeps all night long and Zac and I are finally getting some sleep. He is the incredible eating baby! I mean seriously he packs it in. He goes to the doc on monday so i will be posting weight and all that good stuff. He is a monster but such a cute cute cute one!

So Broadie and Pixie have already become the best of friends. She always has to be everywhere he is. If he is laying on the floor she wants to lay by him. It's so funny because if someone comes over and is holding him and he cries she about comes un glued. When we change his diaper or clothes she guards them and tries to run off and hide them. She is a goof. We were trying to take a pict of Broad in his church outfit and she thought she needed to be a part of it too...

These are just some other picts we took... We have also found that we have a thumbsucker. He doesn't want anything to do with his pacifier anymore cause he has found a permanent attachment that is just as good.

JANUARY: We finally got a car that could get out of our drive way! The acura just wasn't cutting it in three feet of snow we had in December so we got a 2008 Nissan X-terra.FEBRUARY: We're pregnant. We found out on the 9th before we headed to Utah. We didn't tell anyone and my mom tried to kill us pulling the sled behind the four wheeler. She kept flipping us off and then about ran us into a stop sign!

MARCH: We told our families at 8 weeks. First we told Zac's after Jay's b-day party we went to their house and shared our surprise. Then for Easter we mailed my family an easter card that said "Hope your easter is full of sweet surprises" and we had the ultrasound pict on the inside.

APRIL: It's a boy! It was mixed emotions when we found out it was a boy. Unfortunetly it ment a whole six weeks or bedrest!

MAY: Lots and lots of bedrest.

JUNE: Yay, finally released from bedrest, i can get out and go again! June is Zac_ee's month. His birthday is the 8th. At work his fellow firefighters made him a cake... pretty impressive for a bunch of men. (The musle man on the cake is a funny story... they called him the gun show thru his recruit class and it kinda stuck)

Zac's brithday dinner. I made him shrimp kabobs, shrimp salad and jello... all his favorites. His mom also happened to be out of town so he shared with his family

JULY: We finally finished Broadie's room! Lots and lots of work and convincing. Zac didn't want to paint it 6 different colors but i won and he loves it now.

AUGUST: Full of love month...Our 2nd anniversary. August 11th.

and Wesley and Tanya's big day. August 8th. Yeah they did the 8/8/08 thing.

SEPTEMBER: Started out with my birthday on the first. My mom came down and we went to Durango for lunch at Applebee's. On the way back to Cortez we stopped at the elk farm and fed the babies. Fun Fun.

And Zac finally talked me into taking a pict of my huge belly... The one and only pict!

Last night we took a family pict with Zac's family... It was actually alot of work... First off Cherrie (Zac's mom) tells Andy (Zac's dad) to pick a shirt that is green or brown and he come walking out with a holey old green sweatshirt so she tells him to try again...then he came out with a grey shirt exactly like the one he is wearing in the pict...ha ha... by now cherrie has decided there is not many more options for him and sends him back a third time... this time he comes back in a white t shirt with a brown tie around his neck... So Cherrie has finally decided to dress him and look how good he looks :) Married men cannot dress themselves! By the time Andy is dressed Broadie is tired and hungary and not too happy so we take a break and he takes a little cat nap and then he was good to go. All in all it turned out good and it only took 2 HOURS to get it done.

It's Official

Well it is official, not only is Zac_ee a fire fighter in Farmington NM he is also on the Cortez FD. Whoo Hoo! So he will be working his normal 48hrs on in farmington and then during his 96hrs off he will be putting in 27hrs a week at Cortez. He is pretty excited. So as well as being a paid reserve fire fighter he will also be part of the volunteer team too. So much fire, so fun!

Last night my parents sent christmas presents down with Zac's brother so we has a little bit of an early christmas!

We took some family picts today, they turned out okay i guess... It's hard to get Broadie's attention and keep it long enough to take the pict.

These are two of my favs but Broadie isn't having very much fun!
I like this one. I was just messing around while Zac was showing Broadie the tree. He LOVES the lights.
This is our real life, crazy, hectic, caotic awesome family! Ha ha, setting the timer when the dogs are in the pict doesn't really work. Tank is the only one who kinda knew what was going on but the other dogs were more interesting. Taitor has his back to the camera and is covering me and PIx. Pix is most likely growling at Taitor cause he is too close to her mom...

Two months old already!

So my baby boy is two months old already! Where did the time go? He had developed such a little personality already. Just this morning he was with his Nanna and was pulling this real serious face and as soon as she reacted to it he just started grinning and cooing as if to say "ha ha i fooled you!" He is already such a tease! My mom send him the cutest little camo hat and mittens, so as soon as he got out of the bath we put it on him...

What a little cutie! He is such a little chunk too. When he was born he only wiehged 6 lbs 14 oz and he is already up to 12 lbs now! He holds his head up all by himself now and loves to stand (with the help of his mommy or daddy). He can also sit all by himself propped up on the couch. I can't beleive how he can get cuter and cuter everyday! Well that is my rant about how wonderful my baby is but as you can see... it is the truth! We just love the little guy!

Well... for some reason i can't upload all the picts on one post so here is the last one... On sunday we went to look at these reighdeer that are at a nursery here. They were pretty boring. They didn't even stand up so this was the best pict we could get. Broadie didn't really see what all the fusss was about, maybe next year!

I have a ton of picts from the last month, from thanksgiving and then just some really random other ones...

This is our cute little family... If we look a little tired it's cause we are...lol...Zac worked the luminary show until one and we didn't get to bed till two and then at seven it was up for church. What a long day! And if you are wondering just what Broadie is looking at...well he has this thing with lights and so he is starring off into space looking at the light.

Thanksgiving Day at Zac's parents... actually as you can see out the window it is late into the night by then...

Pixie girl got the cool whip lid out of the garbage and then acted like she was innocent... I don't think she knew the evidence was still ALL over her face :D

MY HUBBY: Doesn't he have the cutest smile ever? I love him so so so much. He is the absolute best husband in the whole world! I think this pict was right after he shot his brother with his blow dart gun. He was pretty proud of himself:D It is pretty hectic when all the boys are together and on Thursday Drew will be home from college for a month and a half. I just might lose my mind but it will be worth it. He and Zac have so much fun together and whatever can put this grin on his face makes me happy!

Besides being the best husband, he is also the BEST DADOO in the world. He gets up in the night everynight he is home to feed Broadie and he always is so happy to do it. Half the time i swear he is just watching waiting for him to wake up because he sneeks out so fast i don't even know that Broad woke up. I don't know what we'd do with out him. Thanks babe!

The Nursery!

So... we spent weeks getting Broadie's nursery ready and now he doesn't even use it! First of all our house is way too cold upstairs and so we sleep downstairs in our guest bedroom and he sleeps in the middle (yes in the bed, thanks Zac). And then walking all the way up the stairs to change his diaper seems silly so we just do that downstairs too...hmmm, i'm just not sure it was worth the effort but it looks AWESOME! Maybe in the spring:D

Broadie

I thought i should post some picts of Broadie. We are having so much fun with him. I can't believe how fast he is growing. When he was born he weighed 6 lbs 14 oz and at his six week visit he was already 11 lbs! He has started smiling and so we love talking to him a making him smile. It is crazy how fast he has grown and developed. He looks exactly like his daddy when he was a baby. Except he got his mommy's blue eyes. I am pretty excited about that. I can't believe it has been 7 weeks already. Last night Broadie got to have a sleep over with his Gamma and Pop...He slept in the middle and was a very good boy for them. They were both so happy to wake up with him and feed him. They are such a huge help when Zac is gone and i love them so much!

Hey, so i am new at this but i'm tyring and i think figuring it out... Anyways, what's been going on with us... well for starters we had our first baby on Oct 7th, it's a boy! We named him Broadie Lynn Brock. He is so much fun, and we are loving being parents! I guess other than that Zac is not only working for the Farmington Fire Dept but he is also going to be testing to start at the Cortez one too. He loves his firefighting. Broadie and I are just trying to figure out our routine and i am enjoying staying at home with him. That is about all that is new with us:D
